Mike joined Field Consulting in March 2024, having led on policy and public affairs at transport operator FirstGroup plc. An experience political communicator, he brings significant insight and understanding of the Labour Party. During a long political career as an activist, Mike has sat on Labour’s National Policy Forum and been a councillor and a candidate for the London Assembly and parliament. He currently chairs the Jewish Labour Movement and sits on the London Labour Executive.

As well two decades’ experience in the transport sector, Mike has worked with a variety of sectors and organisations, including industry bodies, trade unions, think tanks and local government.

It was announced that Mike had been appointed as a life peer by the Prime Minister on 20th December. He is acting as a freelance consultant to Field until his introduction into the House of Lords.
